Nikki's Gourmet Market and Sushi Bar

What great sushi in a decidedly unique locale. Located on 16 S Front Street in historic Wilmington, Nikki's is a small restaurant with an all-glass front that allows you to look out at all the happenings on the street in front of you.

I ordered the Ikura, salmon sushi, and salmon, cream cheese, and scallion roll. Plain. Simple. Fresh. Delicious. The green tea smelled of Jasmine and is always my favorite. The Ikura was a little salty, but other than that, the meal couldn't have been better.

I'll definitely go again. I suggest you come on in and have a try...

Coastal Cupcakes

What a cute little spot! Coastal Cupcakes is a delightful little cupcakery located on the corner of Princess and 2nd St. in historic downtown Wilmington. Look for the colorful awning.

I tried the key lime cupcake with key lime glaze and powdered sugar. The cupcake was so moist and fresh with a perfect splash of the tropics flavor. My tongue was in heaven with the play of tangy key lime and the soft sweetness of the powdered sugar.
